I think that my reading lesson today went great! The children reviewed high frequency words from a short story on flash cards. Then we read the story together and individually several times. The students then traced the high frequency words that they found in the story.
I enjoy teaching reading and I think the students enjoyed it, too.
I still have a hard time teaching two students on the same level and another student who is much lower.
It was yet another fantastic lesson! The students love learning reading from you!

ReplyDeleteTeaching different ability levels is so under-appreciated. It is so difficult! After this experience at SLP, I think that you can only get better at meeting all levels of ability in the classroom through experience.
